Ilse Music, a non-profit label based out of Florida, has put out a release of improvised music Ross Chait and I recorded over the course of two or three sessions at Oberlin. The album contains four recordings, an introduction track and a three part reading of Silver To Gold written by Cardew for the Scratch Orchestra. photo by casey corn

This past Friday at Art House Live Sessions I got to play a really fun Kuh-Lida set with Steve Becker in and out on guitar and electronics. 6bit collective's Wondr threw it down in the studio and Moonchild played one of the best sets I've seen at the Top Tomato all summer. Snaps below and a video comin

ART HOUSE LIVE SESSIONS 7/13

The fourth installment of the summer long Art House Live Sessions at the Top Tomato Market featured music from Henry Hall, an Animal Husbandry reunion show, and an incredible set from Will Walden (of StaG) and Stephen Becker in their duo Yaw Control. I joined in on the music, playing bass for Henry's band, and did the visuals for the night. Check out the photos below taken by new resident photogropher Ryan Walker and a video from the opening of Yaw Control's set.

KUH-LIDA VISUAL TEST SHOOT X STEREOCURE

As time draws nearer to the launch of the Stereocure website (08/20), I was asked to put together a promotional video with visuals and music. The test shoot for this was yesterday, and the projection mapping ended up look really good. Check it out for yourself, screenshots above and below, as well as video footage from the visual test shoot.

Art House Live Sessions

ART HOUSE LIVE SESSIONS: 7/6

The third installment of the Art House Live Sessions was an evening of electronic music, saturated with heavily processed video and projection art by Andalusian (Oberlin senior Darrin Schultz). I started off the night with the first ever all Kuh-Lida beats set. 6bit collective groups Future Dollars and A Sol Mechanic did a fantastic collaborative set, and PEPEPIANO closed out the night with one of the fattest sets I've heard all summer at Top Tomato. Check out some photos below (by Pat Martin) and a video slice from PEPEPIANO's set for a taste of the evenings ear and eye candy.

VISUALS FOR STEPHEN BECKER ENSEMBLE

Stephen Becker Ensemble kicked off the first night of 'jazz' for Art House Live at Top Tomato Market and knocked it out of the park. The evening featured two sets from Becker's band as well as a jazz dj set from Native Eloquence. I was controlling the projections in both the studio space and the front gallery via iPhone. The night was a huge success and more videos and recordings will be made available soon. Until then check out the photos and video below for a taste of the evenings stimuli.
