Earlier this year fellow Oberlin student Ross Chait and I recorded a submission for the Gainsville, FL label ILSE Recordings for their Soundtracks Vol. 3 compilation. The improvisation was a reading of the above image, done on March 4th, 2012, and now appears on Soundtracks Vol. 3 digital release.

New Kuh-Lida: Money Hustard

The latest and greatest in the Kuh-Lida project is my first release of 2012, Money Hustard (on Belgian Man Records) which features 12 new tracks and a collaboration with Los Angeles' very own Faith Harding. Money Hustard sounds as good as it sounds and I'm pleased to announce its available for free download here or above.

The Tulip Era Soundtrack

I met Robben T Muñoz on my Winter Term trip to Prague, who oddly enough had made a movie one semester earlier about a young man who loves opera. That was really just the introduction, but he's a remarkable person who shoots absolute gold, so when he asked me if I was interested in scoring his next project The Tulip Era I jumped at the opportunity. The collaboration process was not what I had expected, being asked to write music before any thing was even filmed; I felt a little bit like shooting in the dark, but he managed to take what I had given him and made something really special with it. Kuh-Lida: 1 Yr In

About a year ago I was collaborating with Adam Hirsch on a beat project called The Dumb Show. I wanted to combine elements of beat making with other electronic pursuits I had going on at the time (Animals Deluxe) and created a synthesis of these ideals in Kuh-Lida; an electronic, avant-beat solo project that began in July 2011. To date there are four Kuh-Lida releases, the latest appearing on Belgian Man Records. Check them all out here or below, and more to come soon!
